Chronic and Acute Conditions

The Open Door Clinic’s volunteer providers treat a variety of chronic and acute conditions. Many of our patients suffer from hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, asthma, COPD, acid reflux and more. We can treat many acute conditions and infections such as bronchitis, sinusitis, ear infections, cellulitis, etc.

Flu Shots

The clinic offers free flu shots yearly.

Medications

We have an extensive formulary and cover the cost of most generic medications at participating pharmacies when prescribed by one of our providers.

Lab Services

LabCorp donates lab services for our patients when ordered by one of our providers at the clinic.

Radiology & Specialty Referrals

We refer to Cone Health and UNC for radiology and specialist services. Both organizations have charity care opportunities to assist uninsured patients. When referred for services, our patients should apply for Charity Care for assistance with billing. More information on each program’s assistance program can be found at the links below.
